Jessie Bunn is an artist living and working in San Francisco. She studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and received her BFA from the California College of Art.
She exhibits in San Francisco.
Her first career was as an art director for public interest advertising and magazines, working with photographers and illustrators to convey complex ideas.
After 25 years, she needed a challenge and studied advanced nursing at UCSF, graduating as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She worked in public health clinics primarily with teenagers. After many satisfying years, she began a series of portrait drawings and monoprints of the teens she worked with.
The joy of drawing inspired her return to fine art.
She is currently working on a painting series about the San Francisco waterfront.
